Great location close to the beach. Ocean views were awesome. If you have anyone staying in the top floor “crows nest” just know it’s open to all floors of the rest of the house and has no door. It’s also extremely bright up there no blinds or curtains. The hot tub is a nice bonus. Bring extra pillows and blankets if you have a full house. We would stay there again.

We recently stayed at this beach house and can confidently say the best part of it is the location—it’s just a very short and easy walk to the beach, which made our days incredibly convenient and enjoyable. The porch decks were also a highlight, offering lovely views of the ocean and a great place to relax. That said, the house could use some general maintenance and attention. When we arrived, the floors didn’t feel clean, the kitchen table was sticky, and we were surprised to find a bug under one of the bed pillows. The furniture is quite worn—especially the couch, which is so saggy that shorter guests had to crane their necks to see the TV comfortably. The beds could use a refresh as well. The kitchen has the basics, but a set of sharper knives would go a long way. We also noticed that the landscaping around the house needs some upkeep—especially the weeds growing around the back stairs. Overall, we loved being so close to the beach and appreciated the great views, but with a little extra care and updating, this home could be a truly fantastic rental.

What a wonderful home and perfectly located within steps to the beach. Our stay was filled with lots of laughter, sun, sand, and memories made. We loved the big kitchen table that we were able to play games on and all sit to eat at. The decks showcased amazing views of the entire island. We would love to stay here again! We spent a week here with a group of 15, and really enjoyed the quiet beach location at this access. The house was very nice and had enough space to accommodate us all. It would be nice to have more linens provided - for example we could only find one dish towel and had to use bath towels for all of our cooking/cleaning of the kitchen. We also did laundry daily to have enough bath towels for everyone. It was pretty clean but still had some dog hair on a comforter and some sand on the floors, the oven hadn’t been cleaned out. Our family was pleasantly surprised to find a gas grill downstairs that we used a few times! The hot tub was well serviced. We enjoyed the large lot size so the kids could play baseball out in the driveway area. Overall a nice place to stay just bring more dish towels and possibly bath towels depending on how many people you have!

Swallows nest was the perfect home for our Easter weekend! The hot tub was a hit with our kids and adults. The large table on the deck offered a great place to feed the wet and sandy kids. The carport was killer and awesome to have for grilling, our seafood boil and cornhole! A few of the beds could use some updating and the kitchen could use a knife sharpener and some serving utensils. But otherwise that kitchen is STOCKED! Blenders, airfryer, and plenty of plates and regular dishes. We loved the views from both sides of the home. The sunsets on the sound side of the house are GORGEOUS.

Equidistant from stores at either end of the island. Also easy to find. The decks are fabulous as well as the little cupulo at the top. Awesome views of ocean, marshes and sunsets. Close walk to the gorgeous beach. Every item you need for the home away from home. My son and nephew especially loved the hot tub.

We loved that this unit was pet-friendly but didn't look "run-down" like other pet rentals we've previously stayed at. We loved the ocean and inlet views and our favorite was eating breakfast on the third floor overlooking the ocean! Really easy walk to beach and easy drive to restaurants and shops.

This was a typical stay. The hot tub was nice. The views were beautiful. Perfect distance from the beach. There was nothing that was super spectacular about the place, but it was overall a good place. It could use updates on paint, a working microwave, and the cleaning crew could pay better attention to detail. A BBQ grill would have been a nice option.

The property was close to the beach with a terrific view of the ocean and intercoastal waterway. There was plenty of space for everyone and the deck had gates at either end allowing us to feel safe that the dogs and children were able to move from inside the house to outside without worry.

I loved that it was very close to the beach and dog friendly. My family had plenty of room and space. Everyone loved being able to move out onto the deck from the house with ease; appreciating that gates were on both ends of the deck which made it safe for the dogs and young children!

The dual views of the sound and ocean are delightful. We enjoyed the deck and hot tub. Kitchen is equipped and we appreciated the cleanliness of kitchen and bathrooms. Parking is easy. Bedrooms mostly are large. Foam toppers on the mattresses. The LR furniture needs a refresh and the living room isn’t large enough for the # of bedrooms in the house, considering it is the only inside gathering space. We had 9 adults and 2 children. May be less of an issue in the summer but something to consider if you have a big group.

Can’t beat the location of this beach house. Ocean views were amazing and it’s close to restaurants, grocery stores, and shops. Plenty of space and the kitchen was well equipped with what we needed for our stay. Make sure to bring your own beach supplies as no chairs, umbrella, or beach toys are provided. We would stay here again!

Everyone loved the hot tub and lots of deck to hang out. We had 3 teenagers in our group so sleeping was a challenge for them. The sun was too bright in loft to allow them to sleep in😂😂😂 It would be great for younger kids that like to get up early.

The family really enjoyed the house. We got plenty of exercise as we climbed steps on every level. The adults loved the spaciness and ability to get away without leaving the house. The kids truly loved the 3rd level and the play area. The view from the home of the sound and the ocean was special. The home provided everything we needed. I have already shown the pictures of the property to my friends.

Great home with lots of room for a large family. Plenty of room to hang out together. Quick walk across the street to the beach. Nice views from the home, could even see the dolphins. Kitchen was well equipped. A nice place to visit any time of year.

Great trip. Used as homebase for 12+ for UNCW graduation weekend. Easy beach access and lots of parking.
