After days stretched out in the sand, rinse off in the outdoor shower and cozy up on one of the two spacious balconies. Listen to the sound of the ocean waves while you sip beverages at the picnic table or additional seating areas. Kick back with a vacation read in the living room or watch favorite shows on one of the home's five TVs. The well-equipped kitchen features everything you need to prepare family-style meals. This was the perfect house for our family to unplug and unwind from the busyness of life. Beach toys were onsite. Minus 1 star only because there was no grill on site. There’s nothing better than grilling at the beach.

This home was awesome and exactly what we needed. The location to the beach was amazing and better than we could have hoped! Was worried about ants as they were listed in other reviews but we had absolutely no issues with cleanliness. The home was comfortable and I wasn’t afraid the kids would ruin anything but still clean and well maintained! We will definitely be rebooking this same home in the future!!

We enjoyed our time at this home. Better than expected condition for the home. The kitchen has all the basics to cook a meal. Furniture was comfortable and clean. The view and location were perfect! Easy access to the beach with plenty of room to spread out.

This house was exactly what we were hoping it would be, but even better in person! We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in! It had everything we needed and was literally steps away from the beach. Our little dogs loved it too! We would for sure rent again! 😊

This home had everything we needed for a great vacation. Plenty of space and amenities with direct beach access. Not far from Sneads Ferry if you were to need supplies. Pier is within viewing and walking distance, public park and ice cream within 1.5 miles. Yes there were ants outside but as long as we kept things cleaned up, they remained outside and away from the vehicles. Totally worth it...we would rent again. Vacasa made it easy for us every step of the way.

We've made many sweet memories at The Turtle Shell the last three years - even though the house is on "Ant Row." Every year we have ants, every year they are treated, but this year they infiltrated our parked cars too! We love the quiet location, wonderful decks, the house layout and dog friendly policy . The beds are comfortable and we love all the living room and kitchen seating. Sadly, this will probably be our last year renting The Turtle Shell because the rate for the same week in 2024 (now with Vacasa) is up 130% - more than doubled. However, Vacasa was responsive and polite - The AC died during our week and they repaired it quickly; they repaired the broken outdoor shower the same day we called.

We were so happy with the Turtle Shell. The home had everything you could possibly need. Very spacious & clean. The views from the deck are amazing to see the sunrise & set or just to watch the ocean. The best part is to be able to walk off the deck and be right on the beach.
