The spectacular great room features dark wood floors, a full wall of windows, and sliding glass doors to take in the panoramic, endless ocean views. A 75' TV and convenient wet bar are both sure to provide hours of entertainment. Three levels of oceanfront porches ensure that every last person in your family can find a special spot to claim! Allow the ocean to work its soul magic as you relax in one of the Adirondack chairs or rocking chairs, or at a dining table. There is also a grill for you to use. You may just find yourself spending more time outside than in. And between the full-length porches and the incredible pool deck, who could blame you? Settle into one of the comfy loungers and feel the warmth of the sun as you work on that summer tan. When it gets warm, enjoy the cool, clean water of the large pool. In the evenings, nothing is better than a soak in the warm bubbles of the hot tub, with your favorite beverage in hand and a sky full of stars above you. A large and elegant kitchen is outfitted with two stainless steel ovens, two stainless steel dishwashers, and a 32' stainless steel French-door refrigerator. The family chef will revel in the luxury of the incredibly generous work space. A breakfast table is perfectly positioned in front of a sliding glass door looking over the neighborhood. The formal dining area is like having a permanent oceanfront table for dinner. The center island and a peninsula bar provide additional seating. Each of the 10 bedrooms, spread over three floors, is a private suite, featuring an en suite bath. There's plenty of alone time to be found here, as each suite provides a comfortable respite for its occupants. Most of the bedroom suites also feature private TVs. THINGS TO KNOW The private pool is typically open from the first Saturday in May to the last Saturday in October. North Topsail Beach Truck-Hauled Sand Project may be taking place at the beach near this property until May 1st, 2023. Pool Heat will not be available for the remaining 2023 season. Heater is being replaced and will be available for 2024.

the beach, the pool, the house...so wonderful. Owner was there when I arrived. Had difficulty in using the keypad. He was so helpful. He handed me his business card and told me to call if I had any problems. Pool and hot tub were cleaned twice while we were there. All the time sparkling water. Extra refrigerators, two stoves, 2 dishwashers were all a plus. Had a problem with the kitchen sink running slow, addressed immediately. The owner and his staff were right on with attention to any concerns. We were there over the 4th of July, fireworks fantastic. This was a wonderful family vacation.

When we arrived, we could not get into the home with the code provided. We called and spoke to someone and they gave us multiple codes. One of the codes only had 4 digits, so I figured out the lockbox code and we just used that. Never got in with the keypad. Upon trying to move in, the door handle to the main level elevator entrance jammed up. This caused a whole bunch of grumpy folks having to lug things to the second floor to get the elevator. They did send someone within an hour of us letting them know, but we were already moved-in by the time he got it fixed (the repair guy was wonderful). The house was clean, but in much need of a deep clean. Lots of dense dust on the lamps, bathroom vanities, mirrors, etc. When cooking, we had to be very careful about not setting off the fire alarm. The vent hood did not have a vent or light in it. It looked like it was there at one time, but now just a rusty hole. The refrigerator in the kitchen had a lower, pull-out freezer, but the handle was broken. If you pulled up on it, it would pull right off. The layout of the family room was nice, with automatic reclining sofas. There were three of them, but only 4 of the recliners operated. And the rug in the family room is filthy with stains and dirt- definitely time for a new rug. The real icing on the cake was the heater on the pool was broken. The email that was sent to us, just prior to going, said "Pool Heat is no longer available for the 2023 season due to extensive repairs needed on the heater". Okay, then repair! This was an expensive house and we would have never rented it if we had known the pool wasn't going to be able to be heated! If these items were addressed, I would say it is a good house. The layout is nice and the multiple king bedrooms with ensuite baths is a rare find. It needs some down time and given some some maintenance, cleaning and to be refreshed. I was the one that rented the house for our group. I initially booked it with a local realty company. I read the reviews prior to booking and they were positive. Soon after booking the home, it's rental management changed. I was notified of the change and for whom I was to send payment and get instructions moving forward. As our reserved stay got closer, the reviews for the house were becoming less and less positive. Maybe the owners changed rental companies because they wanted to save money? You know the old adage "you get what you pay for"? Sadly we did not.

Very big house, nice size kitchen, & fun pool area and beach party deck. We paid extra for heated pool and it was not working the entire week. Very disappointing, especially for the big weekly fee that comes with this property.

3 minute walk from house to beach. Beach in the morning, lunch brought from house for beach afternoon, the mid afternoon pool time until dinner

We had a wonderful week at Scotch Bonnet Sunset. The home was clean and the beds were made upon arrival. It was great that each room had its own bathroom and there were plenty of towels. We loved the views from the top floor and deck and the kids loved playing in the pool when they were tired from the beach. There were lots of puzzles and games and most everything you could need as far as small appliances. All in all a great week and we’ll be back for sure!
