The four decks of this recently renovated house in the prestigious Village of Stump Sound provide unforgettable panoramas. Whether it's a view of a shrimp boat headed toward New River Inlet or a flock of pelicans winging through a sunset toward the ICW, you will want to spend most of your time soaking up the sun and the vistas. Just a 4-minute stroll and you're on the sand, soaking up the sun! This magnificent beach house features a refreshing pool and cozy lounge areas that let you unwind without making the trek back home. The beach is just steps away, nestled in a serene private neighborhood. For the active adventurers, you'll love the neighborhood's top-notch pickle ball and tennis courts, plus a handy kayak launch for those craving a bit of water fun. Delightful restaurants in Surf City and Sneads Ferry are just a quick drive away. Kids will love the flat beaches and warm North Carolina waters. The little Marine Biologists in the family can visit a Sea Turtle Recovery Center in Topsail Beach, while the history buffs can take a short ride to Wilmington and tour the Antebellum mansions and the Battleship North Carolina. Tennis is within walking distance and golf is less than 10 miles from the house. North Topsail boasts some of the best fishing on the East Coast and there are two public boat launches within a 10-minute drive. Our family enjoyed the Lo around of the home. Quick walk to the beach and community pool. Home was clean and well stocked. Would recommend an upgrade to twin mattresses as they were a little uncomfortable. Would definitely stay again.

The home accommodated our group of 9 (7 adults, 2 children) very well. The pool and beach were a short, easy walk and were never very crowded during our stay in mid-July. There is a main street that you have to cross to get to the pool/beach access, however we never had to wait very long to cross. The neighborhood is quiet, and the location is easily accessible to all parts of the island.

The location and amenities were perfect for our family. There was plenty of space for everyone inside and out. We would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely loved our time at Drop your Anchor in North Topsail!! We loved the neighborhood aspect of the house with private bathrooms a pool and beach access it allowed for a stress free time getting to and from the beach. All the rooms were super cute and comfortable. Each having nice furniture and TVs for easy wind down time at the end of the day. The property offers lots of areas to hangout with friends and family both indoors and out. Additionally Drop Your Anchor is in great location being found between both bridges to get on to the island it allows for easy access to many amazing shops and restaurants. We loved visiting a new locally owned coffee shop each day of our trip. Will definitely be returning to North Topsail soon! And hope to stay at drop your anchor again!!

Overall our three family units had a blast at this house. It was super clean when we arrived. The farm style table fit all of us for dinners each night. With small children having the washer and dryer was essential. Outdoor shower was great to rinse everyone off after the beach. Short walk to the beach and pool across the street which was beautiful and never crowded. We’d stay here again for sure.

When renting a hotel room or a house for a vacation, there's always that moment of hesitation when you open the door and wonder, will it be just like the pictures or will it end up being not what you were expecting? We're very happy we can say Drop Your Anchor turned out to be exactly what we had hoped it would be. We felt at home right away and were very pleased with the layout of the home and that the bedrooms were just what we needed. We could tell it was an older home, but it was in very nice shape and had everything we needed. We would definitely rent Drop Your Anchor again if we came back to North Topsail Island for another vacation.

We enjoyed a wonderful week at this home, and it was perfect for our large family group of 6 adults and 3 kids. There was plenty of space in the living and dining area for everyone to enjoy meals, plenty of plates, glasses and silverware, multiple decks to enjoy, a grill and yard for kids to play in. It was right across the street from the community pool and beach access, and we caught crabs and watched the sunset from the dock down the street. Thank you for a wonderful trip; we would definitely stay again!

Our family had a great time in this home. We loved the layout of the home and the beautiful views from the decks! The walk to the beach pool was a challenge for our older family member. I would suggest renting a golf cart or planning on driving to the beach and pool if you have someone with mobility issues or very young children with a lot of beach gear (we had both).
