We stayed here for a small little parents get away with another couple and it was great! This was our first time visiting Topsail, and honestly this house was a big factor of us falling in love with Topsail! Thank you so much for a great stay! We definitely will be returning here!

Cute Cottage
We absolutely loved our stay. The house was a little dated but had everything we needed. Bonus, there is a storage room under the house that had loads of beach stuff (chairs, toys, etc) that we didn’t find until we were leaving haha. We loved the private oceanfront deck across the street. All this said, I hope you do not need anything from Vacasa customer service. They are the worst customer support I have ever dealt with. They were rude. They argued with me over things I was reading to them, from the house description, that they had posted on their app! They argued that there was no oceanfront deck or private access, even though it was clearly stated in the description. I requested multiple times that the owner be contacted to find out the correct information and was told that they own it….no, Vacasa is a property management group, they do not own the properties. FINALLY 36 hours into my 96 hour stay, they called to let me know that I was in fact right, and the address of the deck…it’s 1904 in case you are wondering. All this to say, would I rent this cottage again?…ABSOLUTELY! Do I hope it’s listed through a different company?…💯

We loved the dune deck!!
This was my first time renting a whole house at the beach. There were a few things that customer service took care of but you may want to make sure you have extra toilet paper, paper towels, trashbags, ect. The provide a kit with dishwashing soap for sink and dishwasher, a new sponge, a pack of laundry detergent. There were some left over by other guests so we didn't have to buy any but we were surprised to not find toilet paper after the roll was empty. We took coffee filters but there were plenty there. Plenty of dishes and cookware. The only thing we brought from home was an electric griddle. They had everything else. You only get one towel per person (6 were there on day one but we had to ask for more as we had 9 people) Took a whole day to get extras so you may want to have plenty of your own if you don't want to be doing laundry all the time. The deck on the dune was a great asset! We were able to leave chairs, floats, shoes, ect. and nothing was taken. We loved not having to deal with umbrellas in the sand. It was near the public access so there was a porta john if you didn't want to go into the house wet to use the bathroom. Lots of toys/chairs in the closet under the house. There is an outside shower under the deck that got the most use from us. We didn't have any rain but if we did, there were games, puzzles and books available. Plus a TV in each room as well as living room, we just didn't know how to work it with 7 remotes. LOL We acquired a timeshare so we won't have a need for a house in the future but would consider going back now that we know what to expect. Have fun!

Really great for the price
If you’re looking for a clean, inexpensive space across the street from the beach, look no further. For the price, Buckeye Beach is great! Yes, there are some issues like a fairly uneven and in some places slightly squishy subfloor and some obvious previous water damage to the house (which has clearly been handled; there were no signs of mold or anything weird other than the squishy subfloor spots). So while I wouldn’t want to be the owner who has to deal with that or the aging deck/stairs at some point, it’s still a very nice place to stay, especially for the price. I would like to note that if you are staying with children there are A LOT of glass decorations and breakable objects down low. We did quite a bit of relocating breakables to keep them from the baby. All in all, I would stay at Buckeye Beach again.

First family vacation!
The house was amazing as was our vacation! It was perfect for all our kiddos. The turtle house was nice for easy sand clean ups and great having the laundry right off the deck! It felt very homey and comfortable. We loved walking across to the sand dune deck watching the sunrise and enjoying the view! All of this made our first family vacation very memorable along with my beach proposal. We absolutely want to revisit the home next year!
