SC20132 Carolina Cottage

This was a perfect house for my 2 older dogs. The deck lead directly to the fenced in yard with only 3 stairs.

The master bedroom, bed was awesome with tilt head and foot, and shower was clean with no mold.

This home is so cozy. I would definitely recommend. It is close to the shopping, restaurants, yet quiet and peaceful. The screened in porch is great on rainy days as it is completely dry. The layout of the home is well done and the walk in shower in the master is such a luxury.

We enjoyed our stay and would love to stay here again. The kitchen is very nice and well stocked with everything you need. The house had plenty of towels and sheets and all the linens that we needed. Very nice home and yard had lots of space for our dog.

The house was wonderful, everything was comfortable. Close enough to the beach to walk even with all the stuff you have to bring for the kids. We hated leaving! Our only issue was the screen door was broken when we arrived and even after contacting Vacasa, no one came to fix it so we didn’t utilize the porch while we were there because bugs could still get in.

We love this place. Morning coffee in the screened in porch with our dogs, easy walks to the beach, comfy couches for tv/movies and plenty of kitchen amenities to cook for everyone. Start to finish, this place is great. We always end up booking our next visit before we even leave.

We stayed for a week use our summer family vacation to visit our son that is stationed in Camp Lejune. He house size was perfect we are a family of four. My Marine had his girlfriend visiting and my youngest son brought a friend . The kitchen was perfect size with the open spaces it bigger than you can appreciate in the photos. It was so hot we hardly used the porch, but great central air conditioner . The best beach just two blocks from the public access it was beautiful . We won’t hesitate to rent this again if we decide to go there next summer. Thank you

We were four seniors and loved that this was a one level house. The house was beautiful and had everything you could possibly want in a rental. Everything in the house was top quality. I would highly recommend this house and would stay again in the future if I am ever in the Surf City area.

This house was great for our one senior dog and our 2 year old that was adopted during the pandemic...so he does not do well away from his people. House itself was great, spacious, well stocked kitchen. The highlight is the screened porch where we probably spent 75% of our waking hours that were not on beach. Straight shot to public beach access and beach was not busy during weekdays. The house was not as clean at check in as some others we have stayed in, but local management did reach out monday and offer to send cleaning crew back out....we declined because that was just not worth it after we had cleaned up and moved all our stuff in. Had a few maintenance issues that they sent people out for, which was inconvenient because we felt someone should stay with dogs if strangers would be coming in and out. But it is to be expected....locals work M-F and difficult to nail down an appt time through vacasa. We understood. Overall, great house for our needs.

We loved this property! Loved everything about it. The house is bright, open and has beautiful decor. Very peaceful location .The fenced yard is a rare find! Very short walk to beach access. Can't wait to go back next summer!

Everything about this house was wonderful. The furnishings were far above anything I’ve ever seen in a rental. The owners stocked it with most necessities and lots of luxuries. There’s even a treat jar and basket of dog toys. The yard was large and completely sealed, so completely safe for dogs. The screened in porch was a popular hangout and it’s an easy walk to the beach and to local restaurants and bars. Highly recommend!

It is a short walk to the beach. It is centralized for our needs on the island. We look forward to staying here next time!

We love this place! So many things to mention. The beds were made when we arrived. How wonderful to not make beds on your 1st day of vacation after a long drive. The towels and sheets supplied were fluffy, not scratchy as places before. Plenty provided. A clean and open setup. So much storage spaces in the bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen had all the amenities and a empty pantry so we could store our things and not have it all over the counters. I have some mobility issues. The lack of large stairing to the deck / home made my issue non existent. Fenced yard for our dogs! FINALY we had an issue with the door keypad. Our call was quickly responded to. Trying to correct over the phone was not working so someone was there in 30 minutes. They did fix the issue but gave us keys just in case.

We thoroughly enjoyed this property inside and out. Our pet loved the yard and outdoor space. The kitchen was perfect size for us to prepare meals. The location to the beach is very convenient and close to restaurants and stores. Overall, great place!

The home was perfect. Just a couple steps to enter. Fenced in yard for the fur babies is a plus. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We arrived late and our code wouldn't work to get in, but a couple text with Vacasa later we were able to get the keys to get in. We also had an issue with the refrigerator not cooling and once again Vacasa was quick to get a ticket started and a repair man out to fix the problem.

The house was perfect for our family of five! A nice common area for hanging out, watching tv, playing games, cooking and eating. Plenty of private spaces for some alone time too. Location was great- simple 2 blocks to the beach. The weather was yucky so we’ll be back to enjoy the screened in porch.

We were thrilled with the house! It’s decorated beautifully and beachy. The screened in porch is a hi-light, with a full dinning table outside or inside. Easy walk to the beach! The yard is very secure for pups too, including a basket of dog toys on the porch. We were frustrated with using the stove as it throws the breaker off if you use more than 1 burner. This happened a few times.

The Cottage was clean and amenities wonderful. The kitchen was stocked above and beyond my expectations. Great location to the beach and to family that lived on the mainland. We did have an issue with the 10-digit keycode lock and after several attempts with assistance from C/S, we ended up using actual keys which took some effort to operate in the keycode locks. Over all, a wonderful place to stay!

We had a wonderful time at this quiet beach retreat. Love the fenced yard, that was perfect for our dog. Decor and amenities are great. Felt like home away from home. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved our time at the cottage. The place is as advertised, spacious, nicely furnished with plenty of kitchen supplies. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach, as well as, exploring the neighborhood and bay area. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this property. Our only disappointment was the lack of responsiveness from the local support regarding our inability to access the laundry room.

Now only was the house beautifully decorated and clean, but it was such a short walk to the beach and it had every feature one would need for a beach house! We had such a good time and hope to stay there again!
