Avalon offers all the comforts of home and even more! There is an oceanfront covered porch on the first level and an oceanfront sun deck on the second level. There is a sound-side deck, on the second level, where you can sit back and soak up the last rays of the day as the sun sets behind the sound. These outdoor living areas are furnished with a picnic table for dining, rockers, and some built-in seating. The curb appeal is unmistakable. A cute little yard bordered with lively evergreens, coastal grasses and shrubs, and a poster fence welcome your family with a park-like atmosphere. On the first level, you will find the living area, dining area and kitchen. Just off of the living area, you will find a bunk room, full bath, and laundry. Enter the open living area, comfortably furnished and adorned with gleaming views of the sea. The living room has a neutral L- shaped sofa which offers plenty of comfortable seating. A round coffee table is prepared for you to rest your cold drink, while you sit back and relax. A few board games are stored in the hutch and there are extra chairs around for additional seating. There is also a desk located in the living area for writing in your journal or copying down your favorite seafood recipes. A bright green and blue rug adds just enough pops of color to this serene living area. Located to the right as you enter the home, the open kitchen allows the cook to prepare meals without missing any of the action. The amenities include a refrigerator with an in-door icemaker, a smooth surface stove, a built-in microwave, a blender, a coffee maker, and an additional prep area with a quick-rinse sink. This kitchen will accommodate the finest gourmet chef as well as the amateur cook. The open breakfast bar wraps around the kitchen and offers seven stools for additional seating. The dining room offers a rectangular table for eight that sits beneath a six-light chandelier. The horizon is a perfect appetizer for all your meals at Avalon. A high chair provides even the baby vacationer with a place to enjoy a bite or two. The light flooring and blue walls carry the beach feel throughout this entire open area. Sliding glass doors lead you to a covered oceanfront porch. A set of stairs descend to a grand boardwalk grazing above the grassy dune. Front-row views of the ships gliding across the Atlantic are found at the seating area. A few more steps down and your toes are tickled by the sugar sand beach. Back on the covered porch, you will find a picnic table and built-in seating. Around the corner of the deck is a privately enclosed outdoor shower offering hot and cold water for your comfort. Rinse off the heat of the day and step into the side entrance of the home, where you will find a bathroom and full-size washer/dryer. Located just down the hall from the living area is an oceanfront bedroom. In the same hall, next to the bedroom you will find a full bath and laundry area on your way to the staircase leading to the second floor. Ascend the stairs and to the right of the stairs, you will find access to a second-level sound-side deck. Hideaway and watch the blazing Topsail Island sunsets. Settle into a lounge chair and read the best seller you haven't had time for lately. All three bedrooms on the second level offer sliding glass doors accessing the oceanfront sun deck, with built-in seating. Step out onto the deck and with a bird's eye view of the shoreline, you may get a glimpse of some dolphins playing.

Location is great, the tide pools and water was fantastic for our little one. House could use a little TLC for bathrooms, but in bigger beds as they can fit, and need to stock the kitchen better as not much there to use. Small things if addressed would knock this place out of the park if done.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Avalon in Topsail Beach, which has an open floor plan on main level. The house was clean when we arrived. The views of the ocean were amazing! There are 4 very nice Adirondack style chairs provided on each deck on lower and upper levels which we used often, as well as a table seating 4 on the lower deck. We enjoyed the ease with which we could go back and forth from house to the beach using the private staircase/boardwalk. The outdoor shower on the lower deck was very convenient to use. The tide pools on the beach at low tide were perfect for the little ones in our group to splash and play in! Vacasa was very responsive to questions we had prior to the trip, and when we discovered we were missing two sets of bath towels they delivered them to us the same day. Bed linens, bath towels, toilet paper, and travel size soap, shampoo and conditioner are provided at this home but you will need to bring your own items for the beach (beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella,etc.) The kitchen was adequately stocked with drip coffee maker and Keurig, 4 slice toaster, microwave, blender. We made multiple meals and had everything we needed. We also used the outdoor grill located on front door landing with no problems. There is parking for 4 vehicles in the driveway and for one in the garage. The garage also provides ample storage space if needed. We would recommend the owner repair or replace glass shower doors in the master bath as they are difficult to open/close since they are not seated in the track properly which made the shower a little difficult to use. We could only open and close the door farthest away from the shower controls. Other than that we highly recommend this house and location!

Very happy with this choice. The house is spacious and well maintained. Bedrooms are big and there’s plenty of closet/dresser space. Living/dining area is great. Kitchen has lots of supplies. Beautiful ocean side views. Plenty of outside seating too. Multiple decks to enjoy the views. Love the outdoor shower to get sand off. Plenty of room on the beach for enjoying the waves, playing games, or just sunning. Vacasa handled the booking and stay experience even better. Would definitely book this vacation spot again.

Every a.m. each bedroom was able to enjoy the sunrise peeking through. We would step out on the upper deck, accessible by each bedroom and watch the sunrise while being greeted by pods of dolphins, flocks of pelicans, and shrimp boats. In the evening we sat out on the upper back deck and watched the sunset over the sound. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare family meals and plenty of storage for our groceries. The furniture was very comfortable. There was plenty of deck space to spread out. My husband and I enjoyed the platform lower deck while my family loved having beach time. We found shark’s teeth, quartz and even a full seahorse skeleton! Beautiful shells to have family craft sessions. The location was a perfect midpoint to each end of Andersen. On the south end there’s a couple gift shops, my FAVORITE being the Blue Gracias, very eclectic! The opposite end has many restaurants, a small grocery store and big box gift shops. We will be revisiting! A grateful family!

Avalon was a pleasure to stay in. Except for some grunge underneath the kitchen trash bag liner, the home was clean and tidy. No sand grinding under our shoes anywhere in the house. Beds were neat and inviting, bathrooms clean and freshened satisfactorily. Several special touches made us feel extra welcomed to Avalon: complimentary brand-name shampoos and conditioners in every bathroom; toilet paper to last our entire six day visit; courtesy dishwasher pods as well as washing machine pods for the entire stay. The linens provided were ample and plush, really nice. Loved the decking configuration and shower on the second level deck. The furniture on the deck was superb. And of course the view was outstanding. There were so many things to like about the stay at Avalon. My husband summed it up when he remarked as we were leaving, "I wouldn't mind coming back here again." Thanks Vacasa for a very satisfying stay.

From the moment we contacted Vacasa to book the Avalon rental home to the moment we left, was all a wonderful experience. Vacasa was very attentive to make sure we were satisfied. The house was absolutely perfect and so clean. We loved the beach, the town, the restaurants and the overall atmosphere. We did not want to leave. We will definitely be back and will certainly use Vacasa for our vacation rental, hopefully the Avalon again. We loved it!! Stuart and Anna
