Very clean (and I’m picky about that) ample linens and nicely decorated. The view on the deck was really lovely and a perfect spot for morning coffee. Pool is close, so is beach access. Have already recommended to friends and would stay again!

We were happy with the location, as it was a short walk to the beach access and right by the pool. Loved the screened in porch! The kitchen was well supplied and overall we would love to come back!

We had an excellent experience with the company. The beach house was in a awesome location. We had the beach on one side, the sound on the other both in walking distance ideal with having kids. The house was very clean, fully equipped with cooking items, towels, bath room items, etc. I will be back to stay at this house again. 10 out of 10 for us.

The house was truly wonderful and perfectly suited the reasons for my visit to North Carolina. The master bedroom and furniture were comfortable, making it easy to relax. The location was also ideal—just a short walk to the beach, which was peaceful and rejuvenating. My only minor suggestions for improvement would be to include a few basic amenities for added convenience, such as a starter supply of coffee pods, cooking spray, and laundry pods. It would also be great to have higher quality paper towels or some good dish towels in the kitchen. Overall, it was a nice stay, and I’d happily return.

We loved this townhouse! Beautiful decor. Very clean with comfortable beds. Walking distance to beach, pool is next door. The best of both worlds ocean and sound. We will definitely rent this townhouse again. Also, Having 3 bathrooms was a plus wirh girls!

The location was wonderful! Views of the sound and ocean! Easy and breathtaking walk to both for sunrise and sunset. Loved the porch furniture. What a relaxing place to sit at the end of the day. Everything was provided on the inside and more! I sure hope to be able to return someday soon!

Compass rose was a wonderful house. Beautifully decorated and updated. The most stocked house I've ever stayed in. We loved the nice touches of having extra garbage bags, dish soap and laundry detergent. Awesome deck and great furniture on it with a clear shot of the ocean. Spacious stilt level with covered parking for ouf golf cart. Easy access to the ocean and sound beaches. Would love to stay there again!

We stayed at Compass Rose in March 2024. There is a very short walk to the beach and the sound. We walked around the point of the island everyday. The kitchen is well stocked and even a little cooler available to take with you to the beach. Our kids enjoyed the bluetooth speakers in the bathrooms.

We rented this place for Thanksgiving, so I was looking for a well-equipped kitchen. We got it! I've been renting beach houses for decades, but I don't remember ever seeing a kitchen this complete. The house itself was immaculate and completely updated, but it still felt "homey" and welcoming. Decor is simple and beautiful. Easy beach access just down the street, quiet neighborhood, ample parking in the driveway. Beach is clean and spacious, with a beautiful walk down the island and around to the sound. What else could we possibly want? I simply can't say enough about this place. 100% positive experience!

We just had a wonderful weekend on Topsoil and a big part of that was how much we enjoyed staying in this home. The layout is excellent for spending time together and having alone time. The kitchen is well appointed for making whatever you like, and you can sit inside or outside to enjoy it. The bedrooms are comfortable and the three full bathrooms perfect for everyone who you bring with you. Before we left we were already talking about doing it again next year.

The house was clean and had every kitchen utensil, pot, or pan one would need on vacation. The house was close to the beach and easy access to the sound-side of the island.
