Carolina Beach Inshore Challenge
- Location: Inlet Watch Marina, Carolina Beach
The Carolina Beach Inshore Challenge is a one-day fishing competition centered on two popular inshore species: red drum and flounder. One entry puts each boat into both divisions, with winners determined by the heaviest single fish in each category. Organizers expect to award more than $15,000 in cash and prizes, based on 100 entries.
The weekend begins Friday with registration, a captains’ meeting and complimentary captains’ party at Inlet Watch Marina. Fishing runs 6:30 a.m.–4 p.m. Saturday, followed by weigh-ins, an awards party and the awards ceremony. Proceeds from the tournament benefit the Wilmington Elks and their community programs.
