Miranda Rivas

As one of the Property Managers at Carolina Coast Retreats, Miranda brings over 14 years of experience in the vacation rental industry and has a strong passion for serving homeowners and guests. She has remained a constant support for many of the same owners and properties she has worked with throughout her career.

Miranda began her journey in vacation rentals as a Reservation Specialist in 2013 and over time was able to advance to Property Manager and is also a licensed NC Real Estate Broker. Her background in reservations, sales leadership, homeowner relations, and property management provides a well-rounded perspective in supporting homeowners and navigating the evolving vacation rental industry.

Originally from Syracuse, NY, Miranda relocated to North Carolina in 2011 and has proudly called the Sneads Ferry and Topsail area home ever since. She and her husband have built their life along the coast and enjoy spending time with family while embracing the local beach lifestyle.

In addition to property management, Miranda is also an Interior Designer. Her design background brings an added layer of creativity and functionality to vacation rental management, helping homeowners enhance both their properties and guest experiences.

Sherilette Austin is a North Carolina real estate professional, licensed Broker, and experienced property management executive with a passion for helping property owners protect and maximize their investments. With more than 30 years of leadership experience, she has built a reputation for operational excellence, exceptional client service, and developing high-performing teams.

Born and raised in Eastern North Carolina, Sherilette has a deep appreciation for the coastal lifestyle and the communities she serves. She attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) before relocating to Texas, where she expanded her expertise in real estate operations and property management. Her experience in multiple markets has given her a well-rounded perspective and the ability to adapt to the evolving needs of property owners, investors, and guests.

Throughout her career, Sherilette has held leadership positions including Regional Property Manager and Vice President of Operations, overseeing multifamily communities and vacation rental portfolios. She has extensive experience in property operations, financial performance, team leadership, owner relations, guest satisfaction, and strategic growth. Her commitment to professionalism and attention to detail have earned the trust of both clients and colleagues.

Today, Sherilette combines her industry knowledge with a personalized approach, believing that every property deserves proactive management, clear communication, and a strategy designed for long-term success. Whether working with homeowners, investors, or vacation rental owners, she is dedicated to delivering results while building lasting relationships founded on integrity and trust.

When she's not working, Sherilette enjoys spending time in the North Carolina coast and staying connected to the communities she proudly calls home.

Originally from Franklin, Virginia, Nancy’s family spent many childhood summer vacations on the beautiful Outer Banks. In 1983, Nancy made the Outer Banks her permanent home for 42 years, started her career in property management, and soon became an NC Broker.

In September 2025, she relocated to Wilmington, North Carolina, to be closer to her daughter and grandkids, continuing her passion for the coastal lifestyle and the vacation rental industry.

With 40 years of experience in the vacation rental industry, Nancy brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and professionalism to Carolina Coast Retreats. She loves developing and maintaining relationships with owners and guests and thrives in problem-solving situations. When not working, Nancy enjoys spending time with her family, at the pool, the beach, watching movies, and taking vacations.
